Beekeeper by Josh Robenstone

“I was living in a small village about 700km’s west of Beijing in the mountains of Shaanxi Provence China. Everyday I’d document village life and the changing nature of rural China as development encircled.

On this day I took my bicycle for a ride down a dirt road I’d never traveled and it wasn’t long before I stumbled upon the Beekeeper.

He lived in a small tent made of bamboo and green tarpaulin and everyday he tended to his bees, making honey. I’m not sure what his life consisted of outside of this, but from my perspective this was him, this was his life, and he seemed content.”
